Conference Finance & Climate change - oekom research and South Pole Group

"How can the investment community engage for positive climate impact?"

It has become clear that the financial sector needs to be part of the solution to the climate crisis and that low-carbon investment strategies can have positive returns. In the wake of COP21 in Paris, various financial actors have publicly engaged in low carbon strategies. In addition, the French legislative action aims to drive investors to develop strategies and report on the sustainability contribution of their investments. However, there are still many open questions as to how and with what tools can investors tackle such goals.

At our conference, we rally some of the most important experts in the field of responsible and sustainable investments with a focus on climate risk, to provide a view of the rapid developments and future opportunities. Investors from different countries will share their practical experience in implementing a low-carbon investment strategy. We will also share our expertise and tools that enable investors to analyze their portfolios and develop climate friendly investment approaches.
